Choose a 200L nano brewery layout when direct sales, compact installation and an expansion-ready fermentation plan are the main priorities.
A 200L batch provides more saleable beer per brew day than a pilot system while remaining practical for small teams and constrained sites. It is best suited to rotating tap lists, direct taproom sales and controlled startup production. Final tank quantity should be based on fermentation days, brew frequency and whether beer will be served from tanks, kegs or packaged containers.
These verified METO nano projects use 300L, 400L and 500L systems. They are adjacent-capacity references for a 200L buyer and are shown with their actual project capacities.

Answers for engineering and procurement teams evaluating a 200L brewery equipment project.
Yes, for local sales. The reference system is built for owner-operated brewpubs, restaurants and small producers moving beyond pilot batches, with a 200L two-vessel electric brewhouse, four 200L fermenters, glycol cooling and CIP. Output is limited by batch size and tanks, so it suits taproom and keg sales; larger volumes need a bigger system.
The reference package has four 200L fermenters. Four tanks allow a brew about every few days with a two-week ale cycle. Count weekly brews times fermentation days and add a spare. Dry-hopped beers and lagers use tank space longer, so tell us your beer styles and we will recommend the count.
Beer per brew multiplied by brews per week and by four. With four 200L fermenters on a two-week ale cycle, about two brews a week gives roughly 8 brews, or 1,600 liters a month. Tank space usually sets the limit. This is an example for planning, not a guaranteed output.
The price depends on the brewhouse layout, number of fermenters, glycol system size, controls, spare parts, certification, and shipping. Prices are quoted by our sales team once we know your configuration. Please also reserve budget for installation, utilities and local requirements beyond the equipment.
The reference system is electric (12 kW + 12 kW + 6 kW), which is easy to install and control and needs no boiler or flue, provided your site has enough power. Steam needs a boiler and direct fire needs exhaust, so they are less common at this size. Tell us your voltage and we will confirm.
Prepare electrical supply for the heating (about 30 kW in the reference), hot and cold water, floor drain, ventilation, and space for the 2P chiller (5200 W, -5°C) and 500L glycol tank. We provide a layout drawing and utilities list with the quotation.
Brewing licenses, fire, electrical and building rules differ by country and city, so please confirm with your local authority before ordering. METO can supply drawings, utility data and certificates (D1/D2 pressure vessel license, CE, ISO 9001, ISO 18001) to support your application. This is not legal advice.
Share your weekly sales target, beer styles, local voltage, site dimensions and preferred service format. METO will return a matched 200L system configuration, utility list, layout suggestion and quotation.
The 200L system can be prepared for future keg, bottle or can integration so packaging can be added without redesigning the process connections.
