FAQ — Stainless Steel Tanks

SS304 suits most food, beverage and water duties. 316L contains molybdenum and resists chlorides, acids and many chemicals better, so it is chosen for salty, acidic or aggressive media. Duplex is stronger and corrosion-resistant but is for special cases. Tell us your medium, temperature and cleaning chemicals and our engineers will recommend a grade. We standard-supply 304 and 316L.

Our factory holds a D1/D2 pressure vessel manufacturing license, CE, ISO 9001 and ISO 18001, and tanks are designed and tested to the agreed pressure and code in your order. If your market requires a specific code such as ASME or PED, tell us at inquiry and we will confirm in the quotation what can be supplied, including material certificates and test records.

A single-wall tank is the simplest and cheapest, suited to ambient storage. An insulated tank has a layer of insulation to hold temperature and reduce energy loss. A jacketed tank adds a heating or cooling jacket so you can actively control product temperature with steam, hot water, glycol or chilled water. Choose by how tightly your product needs temperature control.

Capacity is customizable from small tanks up to large industrial volumes, and diameter, height, legs, openings and fittings can be adapted. The limit is usually transport, so very large tanks can be shipped in sections and welded on site. Give us the volume and the space and we will propose dimensions.

Interior surfaces can be polished to a sanitary finish (for example Ra ≤0.4 μm for hygienic duties) with sanitary TIG welds and pickling and passivation. Sanitary Tri-clamp connections and CIP spray devices are available. Choose the finish by product and cleaning method; we confirm it in the quotation.

Lead time depends on size, material, jacket and fittings, and is stated in the quotation. Standard sizes are faster, and very large or heavily customized tanks take longer. Tanks are tested before shipment and packed for export. We keep you updated during production.

Yes. We accept single-tank orders as well as full projects, and can ship worldwide. Share the specification and destination and we will provide a quotation including packing and shipping.
